Safe Sex and Birth Control
Safe sex, Birth control, and your teen
The ever dreaded topic of, sex, and Birth control! I know it’s not something most parents want to talk about, but it’s something we, must talk about. Today the number of teens having sexual intercourse has grown. In some cases we see women and men as young as, 12 or 13 years old having sexual activity. So I wanted to take the opportunity to discuss safe sex, as well as, birth control. I understand that this subject is something that is, hard to talk about with your teens, but as parents we must educate our teen, because at least if we educate them and they end up having sexual activity, hopefully they will remember the talk, and use protection, or request Birth control. So let’s talk about Birth control and safe sex items. What kinds of Birth control, and safe sex items are out there?
The male condom
This is the male Condom, it is placed over the penis, to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.

Condoms come in many sizes, and colors, and brands. Condoms are very effective in preventing pregnancy, and sexually transmitted diseases. There are male condoms ( seen in picture above ) and female condoms ( in picture below ).
The female condom
This is the female Condom, it prevents pregnancy, and sexually transmitted diseases. This is placed inside the vagina.

I hope the above information helps you parents, to educate your teens/ young adults about safe sex, and Birth control. It is important to also inform your teens that, no sex is the best way to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. Good luck, parents as you journey through this phase of parenting.
